DHA Exam for Healthcare Professionals in Dubai

Healthcare professionals are required to pass the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) evaluation to obtain their professional license and legally practice in the Emirate of Dubai. The evaluation is conducted either through an oral examination or an online Prometric test, depending on the applicant’s specialty and professional category.

The DHA exam syllabus covers a wide range of topics relevant to each profession. It includes core concepts, clinical principles, and best practices essential for delivering high-quality healthcare services in Dubai.

For nurses, the examination format is multiple-choice questions (MCQs):

  • Registered Nurses: 150 questions

  • Practical Nurses and Midwives: 100 questions
Candidates are given up to 165 minutes (approximately 3 hours) to complete the exam.

The DHA Health Regulation Department (HRD) oversees the licensing process. HRD ensures that only qualified professionals with the necessary skills and knowledge are granted licenses to practice safely and effectively in Dubai.
